Aon plc is seeking a Senior Email Marketing Developer to drive email campaigns in SFMC and Customer.io. You will build templates, personalize messages, and explore AI-enabled improvements. The role emphasizes high-quality email delivery and scalable design.

Based on the East Coast and native English writing skills, you will collaborate with marketing managers, ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and GDPR, and contribute to a robust email program with a focus on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on email marketing experience.
• US-based position with native English writing/editing skills.
• Experience with SFMC (Email Studio/Journey Builder); AMPscript/SQL a plus.
• Experience with Customer.io and liquid personalization a plus.
• Strong HTML/CSS for email and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Stripo or similar tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Build, schedule and deploy email campaigns and automated journeys in SFMC and Customer.io.
• Code responsive email templates and modules with HTML/CSS and Stripo.
• Create visuals like header images and icons for emails.
• Use Liquid (Customer.io) and AMPScript (SFMC) for personalization at scale.
• Collaborate with marketers on briefs, segmentation and cadence planning.
• Set up and manage A/B tests and derive actionable insights.
• Monitor deliverability, opens, clicks, and conversions; optimize by data.
• Explore AI-based capabilities for subject lines, send-time, and content.
