Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Senior Elixir Software Engineer to drive the development of distributed spacecraft ground control systems. You will own entire service domains from conception to production, shaping architecture, ensuring reliability, and elevating code quality across teams.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience.
Expert-level Elixir and OTP, BEAM internals, scheduling, and supervision architectures.
Deep distributed systems design for fault tolerance and scalability.
Strong testing philosophy with ExUnit and property-based tests.
Experience designing service architectures and inter-service communication at scale.
Fluency with GRPC, REST, and WebSocket services; API design involvement.
Ability to read frontend code and collaborate across disciplines.
Git-based workflows with strong PR hygiene and reviews.
U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

Own distributed system features end-to-end from design to production.
Drive Elixir/OTP architectural direction and patterns for fault tolerance and scalability.
Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
Enforce code quality via reviews and testing practices; provide reference implementations.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing and design discussions.
Collaborate with product, frontend, backend, space operators, and algorithms teams.
