Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• Expert-level mastery of Elixir and OTP with BEAM internals at scale.
• Deep experience designing large-scale distributed systems with fault tolerance and scalability.
• Proven track record in testing strategies across multiple layers.
• Experience leading technical initiatives in Git-based workflows and code reviews.
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale distributed systems initiatives from vision to deployment and evolution.
• Define and drive Elixir/OTP roadmap and architectural strategy for the engineering org.
• Act as primary technical decision-maker for distributed systems architecture.
• Identify reliability risks and drive multi-quarter initiatives to address them.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to influence strategy and direction.
• Establish metrics and processes to improve reliability and velocity.
