Job summary

KOSTAL of America, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented electronics technician to support the design, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic products, prototypes, and test systems.

The role requires strong soldering and repair experience and the ability to manage multiple projects with engineers and interns. You will work in a lab environment, maintain inventory, assist with new designs, and ensure clean, safe operations while collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Experience soldering and desoldering through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessors.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronic/electromechanical devices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong lab organization, cleanliness, and effective communication.
• Proficient in verbal, written, phone, and email communication.
• Ability to train junior technicians in soldering and desoldering.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced soldering/desoldering on TH, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessors.
• Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose issues efficiently.
• Coordinate interns and manage multiple assignments and priorities.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components per engineering instructions.
• Assist engineers with development and implementation of new designs.
• Research, source and order parts; maintain inventory for test fixtures and repairs.
• Test electronic units and analyze results to evaluate performance and needed adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe lab environment.
• Perform additional shop and technical support duties as assigned.
