Job summary

KOSTAL is seeking a detail-oriented electronics professional to support the design, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic products and prototypes. The role requires strong soldering and hands-on lab work, plus the ability to manage multiple projects with engineers and interns.

You will design, assemble, and test components, source parts, maintain inventory, and ensure safe, orderly lab operations while documenting results and communicating progress to the team.

Qualifications

• Soldering and desoldering on TH, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic systems and devices.
• Coordinate with interns and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare and follow engineering instructions, manuals, and best practices in electronics.
• Assist engineers with development and implementation of new designs.
• Source parts, manage inventory for test fixtures and repairs.
• Test electronic units with standard equipment and analyze results to determine adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment and proper lab procedures.
• Train junior technicians in soldering/desoldering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose technical issues effectively.
• Coordinate the work of interns while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components per engineering instructions and standards.
• Assist engineers with new designs and implementation tasks.
• Research, source, and order parts; maintain inventory for test fixtures and repairs.
• Test units with standard equipment; analyze results to evaluate performance and adjust as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
• Perform additional shop and technical support duties as assigned.
