Job summary

Kostal of America, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented electronics professional to support design, assembly, testing, and repair of electronic products, prototypes, and test systems.

The role requires strong soldering and electronics repair experience and the ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating with engineers and interns. The candidate will perform advanced soldering, troubleshoot embedded systems, assist engineers with new designs, and maintain a clean and safe lab

Qualifications

• Soldering/desoldering of through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Troubleshoot and test electronic/electromechanical devices.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced lab.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and organized workflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Train junior technicians in soldering/desoldering.
• Proficiency with MS Office; AutoCAD familiarity.
• Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on components and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose issues.
• Support and coordinate the work of interns while managing priorities.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components for products and test systems.
• Assist engineers with development and implementation of new designs.
• Source and manage parts; maintain inventory for fixtures and repairs.
• Test units and analyze results to determine adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment.
• Perform additional shop and technical support duties as assigned.
