Qualifications

• Experience with soldering and desoldering across through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and test skills for electronic and electromechanical devices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced lab environment.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and organized workflows; communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Ability to train junior technicians in soldering/desoldering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components (including microprocessor replacement).
• Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose technical issues efficiently.
• Support and help coordinate the work of interns while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components for customer products, prototypes, and test systems per engineering instructions and manuals.
• Assist engineers with development and implementation of new designs.
• Research, source, and order parts; maintain inventory for test fixtures and repairs.
• Test electronic units and prototypes using standard equipment; analyze results to evaluate performance and determine necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
• Perform additional shop and technical support duties as assigned.
