Job summary

KOSTAL Group is seeking a detail-oriented electronics professional to support design, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic products and prototypes. The role emphasizes strong soldering and repair skills, project juggling, and collaboration with engineers, interns, and team members.

The position involves hands-on lab work, inventory management for test fixtures, and adherence to established electronics practices. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience soldering through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronic/electromechanical devices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional communication skills: verbal, written, phone, and email.
• Define and enforce lab procedures; manage request flows and escalations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; train junior technicians in soldering/desoldering.
• Proficiency with computer systems; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on various components (through-hole, SMT, wire harness, microprocessor).
• Troubleshoot embedded electronic systems and diagnose issues efficiently.
• Support and coordinate intern work while juggling multiple assignments.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components per engineering instructions and manuals.
• Assist engineers with development and implementation of new designs.
• Source parts, maintain inventory for test fixtures, repairs and materials.
• Test electronic units and prototypes with standard equipment; analyze results for adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment; perform additional shop duties as needed.
