Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an onsite technician to assemble, repair, and inspect electronic, electrical and electromechanical components. You will follow blueprints, perform disassembly and rework, and ensure documentation quality and traceability.

Responsibilities include material handling, inspection, and basic testing while maintaining records and supporting customer service instructions.Requires 1–2 years related experience, HS diploma, and IPC 610 solder cert.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience.
• IPC J Standard 610 Solder Certification.
• 1-2 years of applicable solder experience.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, schematics, parts lists, wire lists, unit history sheets and other instructions within established methods.
• Plan and perform disassembly, rework, repair, assembly, inspection, simple test and related operations to conform with quality standards.
• Ensure all documentation and tools are quality compliant and traceable.
• Handle material control and shipping responsibilities for material and equipment.
• Maintain records such as check lists, log sheets, unit history records, routingsheets and schedules.
• Perform inspection operations including process review and visual/dimensional checks.
• Operate computer terminals to retrieve or verify information.
• Review customer service instructions to determine service extent and generate appropriate routing of hardware.
• Perform external visual checks for damage and abnormalities and document findings.
• Order parts via automated inventory system and prepare supplemental requisitions as needed.
• Use measuring equipment like dial indicators, micrometers and ohmmeters for checks.
