Collins Aerospace is seeking a Test Technician in Windsor Locks, CT. You will perform complex functional tests on electronic, electrical, and electromechanical units, troubleshoot to identify failures, and repair or prepare reports.

The role requires reading blueprints and schematics and adhering to safety and environmental procedures. The position is onsite with a strong focus on quality documentation, test setup, and data recording.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent to 2-3 years trades training in electronics.
• Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, schematics, and instructions.
• Ensure documentation and tools are quality compliant and traceable.
• Perform inspections including visual and dimensional checks.
• Maintain records such as log sheets and routing sheets.
• Hook up test rigs and operate test equipment.
• Compute and record test data and plot graphs.
• Troubleshoot and repair units to meet specifications.
• Notify supervisors of malfunctions and escalate issues.
• Move parts and materials within the shop to support operations.
• Review service instructions to determine required testing.
