Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst - Electronics Packaging to own the structural integrity of satellite LRUs, avionics enclosures, and electronics assemblies. You will oversee concept through production release, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure lightweight, robust, and producible hardware for high-rate satellite deployment.

You will develop and validate FEA models, assess margins of safety, and guide packaging trade studies.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of structural analysis experience in aerospace or high-reliability hardware.
• Experience analyzing avionics, LRUs, PCBAs or similar hardware for vibration, shock, and thermal environments.
• Proficiency with FEA tools (NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, FEMAP, HyperMesh or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of bolted joints, fasteners, brackets, plates, beams, loads and fatigue.
• Experience supporting qualification or acceptance testing and data correlation.

Responsibilities

• Own structural analysis for LRUs, avionics enclosures, electronics assemblies from concept through production release.
• Analyze electronics packaging hardware including chassis, covers, mounting interfaces, and PCBAs.
• Build and maintain detailed FEA and analytical models using industry-standard tools.
• Define structural environments, boundary conditions & interface loads with design and test teams.
• Correlate models to test data, investigate anomalies, and recommend design improvements.
• Mentor junior analysts and engineers in electronics packaging analysis methods.
