Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Electronics Lab Technician to join our team in a fast-paced, space-focused startup environment. You will assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards for high-reliability space and airborne applications, working closely with engineers and technicians to bring innovative products to life.

You will manage lab operations, mentor junior staff, and develop harnesses and test setups for advanced RF and FPGA systems.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards in an engineering lab.
• Experience with testing boxes and RF/space-grade electronics is a plus.
• Strong hand skills for handling delicate SMT components and high-frequency circuits.
• Ability to mentor junior technicians and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards in an engineering lab environment.
• Integrate and test boxes built from boards, such as phased array boxes and advanced digital-to-RF units.
• Design, build, and test harnesses for space and airborne systems.
• Manage the lab and calibrate equipment to maintain processes and consumables.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians in a fast-paced startup setting.
