Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Electronics Lab Technician to join a startup-like, high-reliability space electronics team. You will assemble, rework, and test complex boards, and integrate multi-board systems for RF and digital processing units, using top-tier lab tools and rigorous processes.

You will mentor technicians, help design test harnesses for space systems, and contribute to turning ambitious space products into reality in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7 years of electronics lab experience.
• Significant assembly and rework experience with sensitive components.
• Strong hand rework skills and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards in the lab.
• Integrate and test boxes made from boards, including RF processing units.
• Solve technical problems with advanced rework skills and electronics knowledge.
• Design, build, and test harnesses for space and airborne systems.
• Manage the engineering lab and maintain equipment calibration.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge with the team.
• Lead lab trainings such as ESD and lab organization.
