Eaton Aerospace seeks an Electronics Engineer Specialist to lead design and development of electronic hardware across multiple programs. You will guide conceptual design through certification, ensuring robust, compliant hardware and mentorship for junior engineers.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager within the Embedded Electronics Center of Excellence, focusing on multiple projects with high reliability requirements and cross-program consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years in electronics hardware design and leading hardware projects.
• U.S. person for export-controlled information; eligible to work in the U.S.; no immigration sponsorship.
• Up to 25% travel required.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end development of aerospace electronic hardware from concept to production.
• Coordinate with systems, mechanical, software teams; ensure compliance and reviews.
• Define electronics topologies and evaluate new tech for integration.
• Ensure hardware meets RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD, DO-254; prepare certification artifacts.
• Perform hardware testing: schematic capture, PCB layout review, prototype builds, verification.
• Support supplier qualification, DFM, and transition to manufacturing.
