Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a senior Electronics Test and Validation Engineer to drive module-level validation for RV Tech ECUs, with emphasis on Zonal controllers. You will review schematics early, develop test plans, execute bench tests, and write automation in Python, leveraging AI tools to accelerate data analysis while ensuring human verification.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electronics design, characterization and validation testing.
• Experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, DMM, DAQ, SMU, probes).
• Strong understanding of EE fundamentals and circuit analysis.
• Experience in scripting (Python) and data analysis.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to write and refactor test code and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for ECU programs.
• Execute characterization testing and own test coverage reports.
• Write automation scripts and instrumentation drivers to speed up testing.
• Characterize hardware at IC and PCBA levels, including driver behavior, switching, and protection.
• Collaborate with software/firmware to flash and test builds.
• Provide feedback to design engineers to improve testability and reliability.
