Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking an Electronics Test Validation Engineer to work with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and validate ECUs. You will plan durability, electrical and functional testing and develop test plans with hardware/software design teams.

You will establish traceability, review test plans, analyze data, and create schedules while collaborating to improve safety, performance and customer satisfaction across Rivian products.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years automotive/electronics testing experience.
• Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO16750-2/ISO21780.
• Soldering and harness fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute durability, electrical and functional validation testing for ECUs.
• Develop test plans, scripts and fixtures with HW/SW design teams.
• Establish traceability using requirements tools and version control.
• Create test strategy, test cases and review test plans.
• Provide data analytics from tests conducted.
• Create test development and execution schedules.
• Investigate test failures through data analysis and reproduction.
• Identify and assess risks impacting timing, cost or quality.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams.
