Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years designing automated test equipment (ATE) for electronics, with high-I/O or battery management focus.
• Hands-on testing experience on zonal/body controllers, power distribution, e-fuse modules, or BMS.
• Familiarity with test instrumentation: programmable DC power supplies, electronic loads, SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, current probes.
• Experience with battery cell simulation/emulation equipment and measurement accuracy.
• Understanding of automotive power fundamentals and HV safety considerations.
• Ability to read schematics, navigate PCB layouts, and interpret datasheets.
• Experience with CAN/CAN-FD/DoIP, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, SENT, UDS, XCP protocols.
• Proven Python programming and deployment of test automation will be used in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of automated test solutions for zonal and BMS ECUs across RVTech labs and contract manufacturers.
• Design and build automated test equipment for high-channel-count I/O and battery management functions.
• Define testing strategies for output driver characterization, sleep behaviors, thermal derating, and measurement budgets.
• Provide system requirements to software and hardware teams based on ECU specs and fixture design.
• Develop test sequences in Python following best practices within the automation framework.
• Integrate firmware, hardware, and software end-to-end including bootloaders, flashing, and calibration routines.
• Build fault injection coverage to validate ECU diagnostic responses (DTCs).
• Create documentation for test cases, calibration procedures, and safe-work practices.
