Saab, Inc. in the United States (HQ: Syracuse, NY) seeks an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and beyond.

You will develop category strategies and oversee supplier selection, onboarding, and spend analysis, driving value and risk management across programs. Ideal candidates bring a strong electronics background, a BA/BS in a related field, and 8+ years in sourcing, with leadership and negotiation strengths.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s, in Sourcing or SCM.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier selection and award for new suppliers meeting needs of multiple units.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-bid process by identifying and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand spend and supplier base.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine near/long term needs.
• Create adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and lead cost-reduction initiatives with supplier agreements.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
