Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and beyond.

You will develop category strategies, run supplier selections, and drive value in quality, delivery, and cost while managing risks and fostering diverse supplier relationships. Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, in Sourcing or SCM is required.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive continuous value improvement across Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead identification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers for multiple business units.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand the supply base and commodity categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics category.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including international Saab Affiliates, to determine future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and remain visible.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Collaborate to develop a supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
