Job summary

Saab, Inc. is hiring an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing activities for electronics across North America and internationally. You will develop commodity strategies and manage supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

The role requires a strong electronics background, financial acumen, and leadership skills. Travel up to 25% and potential for clearance and domestic/international collaboration are included.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value improvement in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business process by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand existing supply base and commodity categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics category.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics via SWOT and assessments.
• Collaborate with international Saab Affiliates to determine future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
