Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Electronics Assembler for the 2nd shift in Elkridge, MD. Build and repair PC boards, harnesses and assemblies per engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, using soldering and precision hand tools.

You will work in a team to lay out, assemble and test electrical/mechanical components, maintaining quality and safety standards. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 4 years of mechanical/PCB assembly experience.
• Experience using a broad range of hand tools and safety equipment.
• Ability to use a microscope for PCB assembly and repair.
• Must complete basic solder certification and pass vision/training tests.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, assemble, wire and solder electrical/mechanical equipment and assemblies.
• Read Schematics and wiring diagrams for point-to-point wiring and soldering.
• Assemble harness boards and cable assemblies per specifications.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and participate in company training.
• Operate hand tools and assembly equipment as part of a team.
