Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Electronics Assembler in Elkridge, MD. You will build and repair circuit card assemblies, cable harnesses, and mechanical assemblies using schematics and engineering documentation. Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 4 years of mechanical assembly and/or circuit card assembly experience.
• Experience using a broad range of hand tools and safety equipment to perform tasks.
• Experience using a microscope to perform assembly and repair of Printed circuit boards.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information to perform job assignments and report discrepancies.
• Plan, lay out, assemble, wire and solder electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and apparatus.
• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for point-to-point assembly.
• Install wiring harness boards, tie-in cables and harnesses; install mechanical parts and fasteners.
• Perform electrical/electronic and mechanical assembly tasks as part of an assembly team.
• Lay out and construct harness boards for wiring and cables for various assemblies.
• Mix and apply bonding components and encapsulates.
• Perform product finishing functions and obtain certifications such as Conformal Coating PWA or Paints/Epoxies.
• Utilize hand tools, assembly equipment and safety gear to complete tasks.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
