Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Maryland is seeking an Electronics Assembler B to build circuit card assemblies, cable assemblies, wire harnesses and modules. The role emphasizes reading schematics, wiring, soldering and mechanical assembly with opportunities to grow skills through company training.

The position requires a current Secret security clearance, HS diploma or GED with electronics experience, and the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Active US Government Secret Security Clearance required.
• High School diploma or GED with 2+ years electronics/assembly experience.
• Experience with electrical assembly, wiring and soldering of PC boards.
• Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Able to work 1st or 2nd shift; after training on 1st shift, may stay or move to 2nd shift.
• Capable of completing basic solder certification and in-house skills training.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information for assignments and report discrepancies.
• Plan, lay out, assemble, wire and solder electronic and mechanical equipment and panels.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams for point-to-point assembly in confined spaces.
• Perform wiring using harness boards and install components as specified.
• Work as part of an assembly team to complete tasks.
• Lay out and construct harness boards for wiring and cables.
• Apply bonding components and encapsulates; perform product finishing tasks.
