Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Elkridge, MD, seeks a Sr. Electronics Assembler to build and repair circuit card assemblies, cable assemblies and harnesses from schematics and engineering docs.

You will read wiring diagrams, lay out components, solder and test assemblies, using a microscope and a wide range of hand tools while maintaining quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment. A U.S. government Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED with 4 years of mechanical assembly and/or circuit card assembly experience.
• Experience using a broad range of hand tools and safety equipment.
• Ability to use a microscope to perform assembly and repair of Printed circuit boards.
• Must obtain basic solder certification and succeed in training.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for point-to-point assembly.
• Lay out, assemble, wire and solder electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Assemble PC boards, cable assemblies, harnesses, and small subassemblies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow company procedures and certifications.
