Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a hardware-focused engineer to lead connectivity hardware projects across cellular, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and related tech.

You will translate customer and dealer inputs into hardware requirements, drive development with suppliers, and coordinate with Cat Technology to align enterprise architecture and roadmaps. The role requires an engineering degree and hands-on experience with connectivity hardware, device integration, and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electronic component products and integration.
• Experience with component product development for automotive/construction/mining industries.
• Knowledge of supplier management and manufacturing controls.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development and support of connectivity products with partners (Cat Technology, Cat Digital, Industry Groups, purchasing).
• Communicate program status to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Direct project staffing and develop team members.
• Oversee compliance with development processes and regulations for electrical/electronic systems.
• Negotiate with suppliers for development of hardware systems and components.
• Define and manage hardware requirements from VOC/VOD/VOB/VOR inputs.
