Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Chillicothe, Illinois seeks an Electronic Components Project Lead to manage cross‑functional engineering efforts, from design through testing of electrical and electronic components used in machines and engines.

You will lead project teams, control budgets and schedules, coordinate with suppliers and internal groups, and mentor others to deliver robust electronic solutions that meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in listed engineering fields and 8 years of related experience.
• Experience with project management strategies and risk management.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing electrical/electronic components for machines.
• Experience with Creo or similar 3D modelling systems; MS Project and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex engineering projects involving design, development and testing of electrical/electronic components.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage resources and deliverables.
• Oversee project progress, costs, and risks; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and ensure compliance with project controls.
