Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize the electromechanical manufacturing value chain in Irvine. You will lead assembly, integration and test activities, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Design Engineering to enable smooth transitions from design to production.

The role emphasizes hands-on fabrication, process development, and working with multiple contract manufacturers to scale production while reducing costs.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field (engineering, math, or hard science).
• 8+ years in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design.
• Hands-on experience manufacturing hardware (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly).

Responsibilities

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain (AI&T) for electromechanical assemblies.
• Lead Kaizen events and contribute to operational excellence.
• Support RCCA burndowns with Product Quality Engineering.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on DFx for smooth NPI transitions.
• Develop process flows and break down complex assemblies into subassemblies.
• Write work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for scale manufacturing.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers for fast-turn development and scalable production.
• Work hands-on with technicians to build prototype hardware.
• Contribute to mechanical/electrical design of end-customer hardware.
