Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the transition of electromechanical products from NPI to high-volume production. You will optimize DFM/DFA, establish scalable supply chain processes, and own major portions of the manufacturing value chain.

You will drive continuous improvements, design efficient processes, and manage manufacturing documentation, partner with contract manufacturers, and travel to suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
Demonstrated experience integrating large or high complexity assemblies/subassemblies.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Experience in configuration management and change control processes (CCB, E&O, Effectivity dates).
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the transition of new electromechanical products from NPI to high-volume, sustained production with optimal DFM/DFA and robust supply chain processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing production lines and manufacturing processes, providing engineering support to resolve issues and reduce costs.
Design, implement, and optimize efficient manufacturing processes, owning substantial portions of the manufacturing value chain.
Lead and manage projects for installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing systems and equipment.
Proactively identify and implement automation solutions to streamline processes and increase capacity.
Develop and refine detailed manufacturing process flows to minimize bottlenecks and ensure quality.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, SOPs, QC plans, and inspection requirements.
Partner with contract manufacturers to establish high-yield processes and on-time delivery for high-volume requirements.
Travel to suppliers/contract manufacturers to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Provide DFM and DFA feedback to engineering teams to optimize mass production efficiency and reliability.
Serve as the primary technical owner for assigned product lines, coordinating between Design Engineering, QA, Production, Software, and PM.
Manage and maintain PLM data, BOM ownership, and change control within systems like Teamcenter.
