Job summary

Anduril Industries in Irvine, CA seeks a Manager of Manufacturing Test Engineering for Electromagnetic Warfare. You will lead the EW Manufacturing Test team, define strategy, and drive high-throughput test systems across product lines.

Responsibilities include advancing automation, data analytics, and test coverage from component testing to system-level qualification while ensuring safety, cost control, and quality in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years as a people manager leading manufacturing test engineering or relevant adjacent fields.
• Experience with Linux, C#, Python, NixOS, LabVIEW or other forms of test automation.
• Experience with PCBA/electronic assembly testing and testing standards (acceptance, EOL, ESS).
• Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct the manufacturing test engineering team, set objectives, guide initiatives, and assess outcomes.
• Oversee and improve the manufacturing test strategy for scalable operations across products.
• Collaborate with product SEIT and development engineering for design testability.
• Implement advancements in manufacturing testing, focusing on automation and throughput.
• Maintain test capabilities across products from system checks to component validation.
• Evaluate test data and identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
• Communicate strategic visions to stakeholders and guide scaling from pre-production to mass production.
• Lead procurement and ROI analyses for new test equipment.
• Champion safety, cost reduction, and quality improvements through testing.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability in engineering.
• Provide technical authority on manufacturing test and maintenance/calibration protocols.
