Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Electro-Optical (EO) Engineer to model EO systems, develop algorithms, and support threat signature analyses for ground and airborne platforms.

You will communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences and work within a defense-focused environment that emphasizes EO/IR capabilities. U.S. Citizenship with an Interim Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with EO systems with advanced optical/IR materials and coatings.
• Radiometric EO analysis and simulation and/or laser beam propagation modeling.
• Design and analysis of EO systems for ground and airborne sensor applications.
• Access target threat signatures in EO modeling.
• MATLAB for EO performance analysis simulations.

Responsibilities

• Model EO systems and threat signatures for performance assessment.
• Develop algorithms for EO performance and targeting sensor development.
• Communicate analyses to diverse audiences including customers and management.
• Understand and apply US defense EO/IR concepts and architectures.
