Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Electro-Optical (EO) Engineer to support development and characterization of quantum technologies for EO/laser systems. The role involves applying foundational physics and engineering to emerging quantum-EO applications under senior engineers.

You will model, analyze, align, and test EO setups and support lab-test activities while collaborating with senior staff on system design decisions.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of EO systems, optical/infrared materials and coatings, sensors, and laser systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and characterize quantum technologies associated with electro-optical and laser systems.
• Support system design trades, test planning, and data analysis for EO/laser platforms.
• Communicate analysis results to the immediate team and project leads.
• Understand sensitivities of quantum-enhanced EO/laser systems and assist in lab measurements.
