Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. IDES Division seeks a Senior Test & Validation Engineer – Electrification to lead validation across new product development and technology projects.
You’ll own validation planning and execution from defining validation scope to coordinating tests with labs, balancing safety, reliability, and performance. You will coordinate with internal teams and external facilities, ensuring robust validation practices and timely delivery of validated energy and powertrain solutions for
Qualifications
- Experience leading validation projects and coordinating with internal and external labs.
- Hands-on troubleshooting hardware/software.
- Ability to translate requirements into test plans and manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead and execute validation projects.
- Determine how, what and when to execute validation projects with other teams/labs.
- Collaborate with system and subsystem teams and test facilities to complete validation and certifications.
- Coordinate the execution of the FMEA and Validation Planning Workshop process.
- Maintain and report validation schedule and status to leadership.
- Contribute to analysis of test failures and verify NPIs.
