Qualifications

• Six years of full-time electrical experience with at least one year in supervision.
• New York State driver’s license required and must be maintained for duration of employment.
• Ability to supervise electricians and maintenance staff across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage electricians, electrician helpers, and assigned personnel in electrical installations and repairs.
• Supervise, coordinate, and perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across facilities.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and needed repairs.
• Ensure electrical work complies with city, state, and national codes and standards.
• Develop and implement electrical maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
• Train and mentor electricians and maintenance staff on best practices and safety.
• Maintain logs and records of all electrical work, inspections, and repairs.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and dispatch resources.
• Oversee department shop operations and coordinate with staff, contractors, inspectors, and manufacturers’ reps.
• Prepare job orders and material requisitions.
