Job summary

Shaw Industries Group Inc. seeks an Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical systems across manufacturing areas.

You will develop detailed job plans, mentor lower-level electricians, and contribute to plant reliability and cost efficiency. Requires strong knowledge of electrical maintenance, PLC hardware, automation, and safety standards; 3–4 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Electrician Intermediate (II) requirements (DOS).
• Previous electrical experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in advanced electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLC hardware and industrial control systems.
• Preferred 3-4 years of electrical experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced training in PLCs, VFDs, robotics, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and control systems, including MCCs, motors, inverters, PLCs, robotics, drives, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex issues affecting safety, quality, or productivity; diagnose root causes and update schematics as needed.
• Lead proactive maintenance: inspections, measurements, adjustments; perform PM and CM activities.
• Support projects and process improvements: reliability, production/quality enhancement, installs and upgrades.
• Mentor Electrician II, assist IV and Master level technicians; develop skills for higher roles.
