Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrician Advance IV to install and repair electrical equipment on a 12-hour rotating day shift. The role requires understanding PLCs, inverters, troubleshooting, and training junior technicians.

You will draw schematics, interpret control logic, and ensure safe, compliant operation onsite. The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, project execution, and staying current with new technology and codes.

Qualifications

Able to interpret electrical and mechanical situations to pinpoint failures and improvements.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and document work completed.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
Design, program, and troubleshoot simple PLC systems and related controls.

Responsibilities

Receive assignments, respond to trouble calls, and complete projects safely and timely.
Troubleshoot relay logic, interpret problems, and propose improvements.
Train technicians at lower levels to perform tasks safely and effectively.
Write simple PLC programs and verify proper operation of drives and controls.
Maintain off-shift electrical operations and communicate issues to management.
