Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an Electrician Advanced (IV) for the night shift to maintain and optimize electrical automation and control systems across our manufacturing floor. You will mentor junior electricians and lead complex troubleshooting to minimize downtime while improving asset reliability.

The role requires a strong background in PLCs, schematics, and NEC-compliant practices, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) requirements.
• Previous experience in electrical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting in industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize electrical automation and control systems.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex issues; identify root causes and communicate findings.
• Update schematics and documentation; develop preventive maintenance plans.
• Mentor Electrician II and III; support Electrician V with major upgrades.
• Perform maintenance activities including PM, CM, and project support.
