Job summary

York Container is seeking a senior electrician to join our 2nd shift maintenance team. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, read schematics, and support PLCs and drives to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of industrial electrical experience, 480V 3-phase wiring, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You must be able to work independently, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold GMP/Food Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Proficient with 480V 3-phase wiring and industrial controls.
• Experience with PLCs and motor drives.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Willingness to work weekends/extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Test and replace fuses, solenoids, relays, contactors, switches, and breakers.
• Read schematics and diagnose AC/DC control circuits and drives.
• Perform electrical PM and assist with mechanical maintenance when required.
• Work with volt/amp meters and PLCs; support machine techs remotely as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work area following GMP/Food Safety standards.
