Job summary

York Building Products is seeking an Industrial Electrician to keep our plant’s electrical and electromechanical systems running smoothly. With 3–5 years of experience, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, read wiring diagrams, and work safely under LOTO regulations.

You’ll join a hands-on team, respond to downtime quickly, and travel between facilities as needed to minimize outages and keep production moving.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Solid understanding of electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with motor controls and relay logic.
• Basic PLC knowledge and the ability to use PLC logic for troubleshooting.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Comfortable using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
• A problem-solving mindset and a “figure it out” attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to respond to emergency maintenance calls when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Keep mining, asphalt, and concrete masonry equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose electrical problems and get to root cause, not just quick fixes.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Troubleshoot motor controls and relay logic; work with PLCs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Work with operators and maintenance teams to solve problems.
• Follow safety policies and LOTO procedures.
