Job summary

York Building Products is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to keep plant operations running smoothly. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical and electromechanical systems, diagnose root causes, and read electrical diagrams in a fast-paced plant environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in industrial electrical work, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with motors, PLCs, and LOTO safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of PLCs and motor controls for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical & electromechanical systems.
• Keep mining, asphalt, and concrete equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose problems and identify root causes beyond quick fixes.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Troubleshoot motor controls, relay logic, PLCs, and control systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with operators and maintenance teams to solve issues.
• Safely operate forklifts, aerial lifts and other equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Follow LOTO and safety policies.
