Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant electrical experience or an applicable degree with entry-level experience.
• Understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs and maintains protective relaying and metering; performs electrical tests and repairs.
• Analyzes test results and interprets diagrams to locate defective equipment.
• Uses test equipment safely in energized rooms, vaults, and substations.
• Commissions new relay and metering installations and coordinates with other teams.
• Maintains test reports and documents for compliance and client review.
• Provides mentorship to junior technicians and participates in emergency call-outs.
