Job summary

Quanta Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electrical Testing Technician (NETA 4) to lead field teams across Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio markets.

You will supervise large projects, perform complex tests and own final report packages, while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring strict safety and industry standard compliance. The role requires a NETA Level 4 certification, 10+ years of experience, and a strong background in electrical systems testing.

Qualifications

• NETA Level 4 Certification required.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical testing experience per ANSI/NETA ETT Level 4.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; others considered.
• Proven services management experience focusing on electrical systems and NETA standards.
• Experience with NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Proven ability to supervise multiple crews and manage concurrent projects.
• Expert proficiency with relay test sets, transformer tests, and protection and control commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise large projects and multiple crews from start to closeout.
• Conduct complex investigations and tests on power systems and equipment.
• Own final test report packages and approve technicians' work.
• Serve as primary contact for field service issues and escalations.
• Enforce safe work practices including energized work permitting and NFPA 70E.
• Mentor Trainee, Assistant, and Certified technicians for certification advancement.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop test procedures for non-standard scopes.
• Support estimating by detailing scopes, labor, equipment, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with NETA, ANSI/NETA ATS and customer specs during testing.
• Standardize procedures to improve quality across crews.
