Job summary

Power Engineering Services, a Quanta Services Company, seeks an Electrical Testing Technician to perform acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning tests on electrical power systems. You will lead on-site techs, evaluate data, and deliver field reports while upholding NFPA 70E safety standards.

Requirements include NETA Level 3 (or 2 with eligibility), 5+ years in testing, and strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes. Travel across TX markets is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time electrical testing experience per ANSI/NETA ETT Level 3 guidance.
• Associate degree or technical training; engineering degree a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, and ANSI/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning tests on switchgear and related equipment.
• Lead on-site technicians; ensure safety and quality on routine jobs.
• Evaluate data, suggest corrective actions, and produce field reports.
• Mentor junior technicians and manage test equipment calibration.
• Interface with customers on scope, findings, and schedule.
