U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician to independently manage small to medium projects or assist larger initiatives.

You will lead electrical testing programs, oversee SCADA and Building Management Systems, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The role requires extensive experience in electrical testing, protective relays, switchgear, transformers, and high-voltage procedures, with readiness to travel to diverse

Qualificações

• Minimum 7+ years of electrical experience with High School Diploma/GED
• Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on testing experience
• Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA electrical safety standards
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals
• Experience with protective relays, breakers, transformers, switchgear and test equipment
• Willingness to travel and work in industrial, data center, and utility environments
• Adherence to LOTO and PPE safety protocols and safety reporting

Responsabilidades

• Develop Electrical Testing Program for duty site and act as subject matter expert
• Manage or train operations staff to operate and monitor control systems
• Assist in SOP development and operator training for complex building control systems
• Implement CMMS-based scheduling and reporting of maintenance activities
• Oversee integration and reliability of building control systems (SCADA, Delta Controls, Life Safety)
• Coordinate with Program Manager to optimize monitoring systems and meet energy goals
• Provide troubleshooting oversight and address operational problems
• Supervise electrical testing activities when on duty
• Assist in developing electrical work and project schedules
• Maintain safety records and generate safety reports
• Perform protective relay testing, calibration, and programming
• Conduct transformer testing and arc flash studies
• Ensure compliance with NETA standards and conduct acceptance testing
