Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician 3 to lead and execute testing programs on medium-scale projects. The role requires expertise in SCADA, relay, arc flash, and Hi-Pot testing, with supervision of field teams and collaboration with engineers and clients.

Candidates should have 7+ years of electrical experience, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to travel as needed to industrial, data center, and utility environments. OSHA and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant electrical experience with HS Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Develop Electrical Testing Program for duty site and act as SME for operations and maintenance.
• Manage or train staff to operate and update system control applications.
• Support development of SOPs and training for operators of complex control systems.
• Implement CMMS procedures to schedule, dispatch, and report maintenance activities.
• Oversee integration of SCADA, Building Management and Life Safety Systems and coordinate with Program Manager.
• Troubleshoot and address operational problems; provide supervision during testing activities.
• Assist in developing electrical work schedules and ORM safety procedures; generate safety reports.
• Conduct protective relay testing and calibration; perform circuit breaker and switchgear testing.
• Perform transformer testing including turns ratio, insulation resistance, and power factor testing.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO, PPE, and safety protocols; maintain detailed test reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure efficient system commissioning and startup.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians.
