Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Electrical Technician to lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and startup of high and medium voltage systems in field and shop environments.

You will travel locally and nationally, with international travel preferred, and ensure safe, compliant operation of equipment. Responsibilities include coordinating projects, performing protection relay and circuit breaker testing, documenting results, and mentoring junior technicians while upholding

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred NETA/NICET certification or equivalent hands-on electrical testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support multiple projects onsite and in-house, ensuring complete documentation.
• Test low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, and relays.
• Control material costs by eliminating wasteful practices.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure commissioning and startup success.
