Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Integration and Test team for the Lunar Permanence unit and Blue Moon landers. You will develop test plans, lead test operations, and interface with design and systems engineers to verify requirements across vehicle levels.

The role requires experience with spacecraft avionics, test software, and Python/C/C++ skills; expect rotating shifts and travel up to 15%. Emphasis on safety and collaboration throughout spaceflight testing.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in a technical discipline as listed; passion for mission to enable space exploration.
• 5+ years of applicable experience in space vehicle testing or electrical test.
• Experience with spacecraft avionics, electrical power systems, and vehicle-level electrical integration.
• Experience reading/writing code in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop test plans and procedures for vehicle-level testing.
• Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work and coordinate with internal customers.
• Conduct acceptance testing including power-on, functional, performance, and qualification.
• Troubleshoot issues during testing and perform root cause analyses.
• Design, procure, and install test support equipment; manage vendors during installation.
• Coordinate test crews and configurations for testing; ensure safety policies are followed.
