Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design, develop, and integrate avionics hardware and software for lunar mission systems. You will develop test plans, run verification and validation, and document results while coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, hardware integration, and lab testing in a safety‑critical aerospace environment, contributing to reusable spaceflight systems and lunar transportation hardware.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in electrical/aerospace/mechanical or related technical discipline with relevant hands-on electronics experience.
  • 5+ years working with electronics or electromechanical systems including prototyping, design, integration and testing.
  • Knowledge of digital, analog, and mixed-signal parts (CPUs, FPGAs, microcontrollers, ADS, DACs, OpAmps, power supplies, MOSFETs, LVDS, SPI, I2C, RS422/232, Ethernet, PCIe).
  • Experience with safety-critical systems development (aerospace, medical, automotive).
  • Experience in integrating and testing vehicle systems and building test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, build, and integrate electrical/avionics hardware, software, and interconnect solutions.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts for standalone and integrated environments.
  • Conduct verification and validation testing; document results and communicate risks and solutions.
  • Interpret data and analyze integrated electrical/avionics systems.
  • Support integration and test activities including wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate hardware simulation and fault injection with real-time vehicle simulations.
