Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years industry or applied experience with electrical test equipment.
• Experience with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and/or control systems.
• Ability to produce and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, data acquisition cards, etc).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills including prioritization, scheduling, and providing succinct status reports.
• A strong safety record.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, architecture, procurement, build, integration, and checkout of the electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), including data acquisition systems (DAQ), instrumentation, control systems, and wiring.
• Directly or indirectly support preparation of Thermal and Fluid component tests, which could include development, qualification, acceptance, performance, and environmental testing.
• Create electrical design packages, drawings of test hardware infrastructure, wiring layouts, harnesses, rack layouts, breakout boxes, power distribution, and control elements.
• Create and/or review Test Plans, Test Procedures, safety assessments, schematics, and other engineering artifacts.
• Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses.
• Support the integration of test articles, EGSE, hardware, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of units under test.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise, support checkout of the systems and solving technical problems.
• Maintain configuration control of the drawings and the test system configurations.
• Participate in test readiness reviews, pre- and post-test briefings, and post-test reviews.
• Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
• Reduce, analyze, and archive test data.
• Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work, and coordinate with internal customers.
