Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Senior Test Engineer (EE) in the United States to lead hardware test development for electromechanical and robotic systems across manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers.

The role emphasizes test architecture, fixture development, board bring-up, and production automation using Python, collaborating with Electrical, Firmware, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to ensure reliable deployment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in electrical hardware design, test engineering, or validation.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCBA design, and hardware development tools.
• Experience bringing up boards, soldering/rework, and debugging at component level.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical schematics, PCBAs, and interface boards for manufacturing test fixtures and validation systems.
• Own end-to-end hardware bring-up including components, layout reviews, soldering/rework, and debugging.
• Architect and develop scalable manufacturing test systems with power, relays, multiplexers, and DAQ instrumentation.
• Develop automated test software/frameworks (Python preferred) for instrument control, data logging, and production diagnostics.
• Lead deployment and support activities across internal sites and CM partners; drive yield improvements and failure analysis.
