Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an Advanced Robotics Test Engineer, Mechatronics to drive system-level and subsystem testing for mobile robot platforms. You will focus on mechanical durability, sensor validation, controls behavior, and software performance in a fast-paced hardware environment.

You’ll work on test plans, data collection, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliability and readiness across development and sustainment stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics/mechatronics or related field.
• 5+ years of robotics testing, mechatronics, or validation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with durability testing, life-cycle analysis, fatigue testing, and failure investigation.

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve test plans for system-level and subsystem DVT.
• Perform mechanical durability, life-cycle, and fatigue testing.
• Conduct teardowns, inspections, and failure analysis of mechanical parts and robotics systems.
• Design, build, and maintain mechanical test rigs, fixtures, and tooling.
• Validate sensor, controls, and software behavior at system level using Python-based automation.
